Program Support Assistant (OA)

Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Plans, develops, implements and provides medical administrative support of the Limited Duty (LIMDU) Program to tenant Commands and Commands in 12-state region Executes LIMDU Program in accordance with procedures and regulations established by the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV),Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED)and FHCC. Receives medical provider LIMDU recommendations and ensures the Medical Board Convening Authority has approved all LIMDU recommendations within 5 days, Briefs Service Members and Commands on LIMDU Program requirements, military personnel actions that will occur upon entering/ending LIMDU status and procedures for scheduling LIMDU re-evaluation appointments. Prepares and submits standard Naval messages to the local Personnel Detachment (PSD), Bureau of Military Personnel, and U.S. Marine Corps Headquarters placing and removing service members from LIMDU status. Tracks 100% of LIMDU referrals to ensure all are acted upon within established time-lines and provides status reports of all Navy and Marine Corps LIMDU personnel in the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Conducts monthly LIMDU Deployability Coordinator meetings with command LIMDU Deployability coordinators, medical liaisons and remote command medical representatives. MEDIG requirement. Reviews all LIMDU recommendations and refers cases where it appears to be an inappropriate LIMDU referral back to the referring physician or Convening Authority for resolution. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Administration of a department level or higher program. Coordination of individuals with-in a department level or higher. Providing information to individuals about a department level or higher program. Ensuring of adherence to regulations and procedures of a department level or higher program. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Master's degree or higher, with a major directly related to the work of the position. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Physical Requirements:
The work Is sedentary In nature and predominantly Involves significant time (4 or more hours dally) of office automation tasks; Incumbent will be required to walk to various clinics several times dally (usually at least two), Incumbent works within a healthcare facility and limited risks to contagious Illness exist. Immunity to common Infectious diseases may be screened and Immunizations may be provided if required. Also the ability to type 40 words per minute. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
