Senior Manager, Global Talent, Diversity and Inclusion

The Senior Manager of Global Talent, Diversity and Inclusion will further refine, drive and deliver D&I strategies and initiatives to support Abbott?s growth globally and achieve the Company?s diversity and inclusion vision. This includes fostering and managing the internal and external relationships necessary to drive diversity within the Company and the global customer base.
Operationally, this role will have direct accountability for leading D&I compliance, fostering high impact D&I alliances with internal stakeholders across a broad matrix, and leading all external outreach regarding Abbott?s corporate reputation and image related to D&I.
As the functional leader of the Diversity and Inclusion Council this individual will be called upon to provide expert view, business acumen, judgment and professionalism in counseling and influencing senior level stakeholders and HR partners in a wide range of D&I initiatives.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
D&I Strategy Development:
+ Partner with DVP TA, Diversity and inclusion and EVP HR to ensure the D&I strategies and programs will contribute to the strengthening of Abbott?s global workforce needed to deliver the against business goals and strategies.
+ Lead efforts to engage Employee Networks, sponsors and chairs on regular basis and drive strategic outcomes to support strategic intent.
+ Provide external subject matter expertise and bring forth innovative ideas to create the future of D&I at Abbott on a global basis
+ Develop, implement and effectively communicate the D&I global strategy and detailed plans of long term and of short term achievable goals with business relevant outcomes.
+ Align cross-functional resources to deliver high business impact including:
+ Partner with Business Human Resources organization in the development and implementation of strategic diversity initiatives.
+ Collaborate across Talent and Development organization to address training, recruiting, on-boarding, and strategic outreach programs related to D&I.
+ Partner with TA Pipeline Development group to strengthen diversity sourcing strategies and external partnership.
+ Build and align strategic partnership with key diversity sourcing associations
Develop Business Partnerships:
+ Consult with and advise senior leadership to assess, plan and implement D&I programs that support the region and/or business unit strategies
+ Develop and leverage a wide variety of relationships with key opinion leaders at all levels of the organization to establish sponsorship and credibility for D&I initiatives. Will require the ability to manage stakeholders in a large, complex, matrixed organization (division, geographic area and/or country).
+ Provide D&I subject matter expertise to Abbott business leaders around the world.
D&I Reputation & External Relationship Management:
+ Establish robust external partnerships and implement strategic media plan to strengthen Abbott?s diversity rankings and employment value proposition.
+ Manage key D&I external stakeholders (e.g. Diversity Inc, Working Mothers etc)
+ Develop and deploy effective internal and external communications to improve outcomes for D&I priorities
+ Participate in and manage internal and external diversity networks to drive greater ROI
Manage Compliance, Report and Communication:
+ Provide oversight of all compliance requirements and ensure there are productive relationships with related regulatory and government agencies.
+ Analyze metrics and research on D&I best practices and benchmarks as input to designing and implementing initiatives.
+ Develop effective internal and external communication plan for DVP TA, diversity and Inclusion and execute per plan
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
+ 10+ years experience interfacing, influencing and driving strategy with global business and HR leaders.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic counsel that integrates D&I strategy planning with global business goals to deliver measureable results.
+ Direct experience in staff management with demonstrated success working in large, complex, global organizations.
+ Experience in leading break-through change in a global, complex, matrixed environment. International experience is required.
+ A self-aware, dynamic leader with outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
+ A high energy leader who can think strategically, as well as operationally ?roll up their sleeves? to achieve tangible results.
+ The ability to take something BIG and break it down into achievable component parts with short term benefits while in alignment with the long term vision

+ Strong working knowledge of AAP and diversity initiatives to include Diversity & Inclusion program development and implementation.
+ Strong knowledge of FLSA, HIPAA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, AAP, EEO and related state and federal regulations/employment law
EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor Degree required ?MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
