Global company seeks to add senior leadership to the Controller's group. Responsibilities include:
Provides senior leadership for the accounting and financial reporting function; serving as the key contact, representative & vocal leader to other senior management both in and outside of Finance;
Direct responsibility for SEC reporting, including preparation of 10-Q, 10-K reports and related disclosures, and preparation of supporting financial information for quarterly earnings releases;
Performs and reviews assessments of technical accounting issues (GAAP & SEC, Statutory), determines proper accounting treatment and prepares documentation supporting the Company's position regarding such issues
Leads the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process, including the consolidation of the operating subsidiaries and related inter-company eliminations to report consolidated financial results;
Provides segment, divisional, regional, legal entity & product financial reporting & analysis to meet internal management needs, and communicates with other departments regarding accounting & reporting matters;
Assists the Financial Planning and Analysis department with operating and capital budgets;
Establishes and implements accounting policies, controls and processes, including account reconciliations;
Coordinates both internal and external financial audits with internal and external auditors, including SOX 404, GAAP and regulatory audits, and implementation of of agreed-upon recommendations resulting from such audits
Candidates must have at least 5
years of public accounting experience, solid and recent SEC reporting experience, CPA and MBA, proven success at managing team members. References should be stellar.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
