Develop sales in the packaging extrusion market in Americas as it relates to polyamide, homopolymer and copolymer products. Formulate plan for introducing Akulon , Akulon XS nad Novamid into the defined market segment through understanding of market dynamics, customer needs and competitive information. Includes revisions to long-term Marketing Plan, coordination of activity with global strategy and implementation of actions. Mapping and segment plans for food, medical and protective packaging.
Gain thorough understanding of the customers, competitors, supply/demand situation, market pricing and expected margins which could be generated through selling Akulon in the various extrusion markets. Activity into the market could include importing polymer from Europe, Asia or a local source. Gaining technical approvals at customers in order to be in position to supply once source of polymer is defined. Territory is all Americas. Communication with DEPAM Management Team, Global Business Manager Akulon , participation in PERM's and Global Product Teams.

1. Develops long-term Product Marketing Plan and implements tactics and actions. Reviews and reports to management regarding resource requirements and performance, including budget, sales, pricing and forecasts.

2. Collaborates with sales and sales management, production, technical and research/development personnel regarding product development, marketing, material grade, pricing and inventory. Where applicable (global products) coordinates with European PTO and OTC and business team organizations.

3. Directs potential customer projects, including product recommendations, sampling, approval, first order and delivery. Visits customer sites to monitor project progress and provide technical assistance as needed.

4. Coordinates and provides data for public relations and advertising activities for product line, including reviewing brochures and data sheets. Develops and makes presentations to customers and potential customers.

5. Assists and recommends new product developments and has input for specifications.

6. Establishes brand management, product offering and portfolio, pricing, contract conditions, and market strategy. (Judged by product line margin/profit.)

7. Directs customer returns for accommodations, material masters, and forecasting trading goods.

8. Defines and communicates Product Line scope, performance standards, application and customer acceptance criteria.

9. Establishes competitive market position. Interacts with Segment Sales Manager, VP Sales & Marketing, Business Manager Akulon Global Product Team for multi-regional coordination and proliferation.

10. Complies with established safety policies and procedures.

11. Performs all QS related duties and procedures as required.

Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, Chemistry or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with other company personnel and customers, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
Over 8 -10 years of related industry and functional experience
Thorough knowledge of product and ability to make practical application of polyamide extrusion processing techniques, account management, budgeting, sales and able to coordinate activities on a global level.
Working with others in a multi-cultural team environment with minimum supervision.
Developing and making public speaking presentations to large and diverse audiences.
Proven time management and leadership experience
