General Facilities Maintenance
General maintenance and repair workers fix and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings. They paint, repair flooring, and work on plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning and heating systems. Duties General maintenance and repair workers typically do the following:
Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers Inspect and diagnose problems and figure out the best way to correct them Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly Assemble and set up machinery or equipment Plan repair work using blueprints or diagrams Do general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties Order supplies from catalogs and storerooms Meet with clients to estimate repairs and costs Keep detailed records of their work Perform preventative electrical maintenance procedures Perform preventative maintenance general repairs Perform electrical repair on facility equipment Perform electrical repair on facility equipment Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment Completing preventative maintenance and repairs Perform machine maintenance including preventive maintenance Perform preventative maintenance on equipment Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance of facility Entail preventative maintenance and minor repair Perform preventative maintenance and make routine repairs to electrical and plumbing Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment Maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment Perform preventative maintenance inspections and perform necessary repairs Participate in facility plumbing repairs Perform basic plumbing maintenance and repairs Perform all minor plumbing and electrical repairs Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs and maintenance to shop equipment Perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment Recommended Skills Building Maintenance Knowledge Demolition Electricity Hand Tools Maintenance Of Grounds Plumbing Apply to this job.
